THE RIO DE JANEIRO STATE ONCE MORE EXTENDS THE PERIOD FOR ADHERING TO THE “REFIS”

| The deadline for adhering to the Refis proposed by the State of Rio de Janeiro has once more been extended this time by Law no. 5.708, of April 30th, 2010. This is a second extra time allowance for adhering to the program but only up to May 30th. The Refis proposed by the State is an innovative program which allows the payment in installments of debts up to 120 months, as well as payment of debts enrolled at the Federal Tax Debt Roster by means of special judicial orders (“precatórios judiciais”).
